How to participate?

Entrants can submit their applications in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, short essay, a business plan, poster board pictorial, still picture and video set to music or narration.  Individual and team-based multi-disciplinary and inter-campus submissions are also welcome.

How important is collaboration?

Participants are encouraged to assemble diverse teams that reflect a broad range of core partners needed to successfully implement the most innovative approaches for “smart cities” and “smart futures” environments and ecosystems. Partners may include educational researchers and experimenters, business and industry experts and entrepreneurs, as well as community-based organizations and entities.

How to get started?

To enter the contest, you will need to create an account. User accounts and contest entries are now managed by Reviewr, a trusted third party SaaS provider. Once the registration period starts, select the “Register” button on the right side of the screen to get started.

At any point during the application process, you can select “Save & Logout” to save your work. You can log back into your account (at www.wismartcities-smartfutures.com) and edit your submission. After the deadline, all entries will be considered final and you will receive a confirmation email that your entry has been received.

Contestants will use the accounts to submit their entries, as well as review judges’ comments and feedback.
