The competition was formally announced on August 7th, 2018 at the Smart Futures Summit at University of Wisconsin–Parkside. The best way to stay informed is by joining our mailing list. The below timeline is subject to changes:
All students, faculty and staff from higher education institutions are eligible to complete in Round 1. Up to, and only 100 winners will receive the Managers Award and will be eligible to compete in Round 2.
Round 1 rewards will be $500 for up to 100 winners.
Round 2 rewards will be $1,500 for up to 50 winners.
In this round, successful Round 1 submitters will compete for up to 50 winning Directors awards.
In this round, successful Round 2 submitters will compete for up to a final 16 Presidents Awards.
Round 3 rewards will be $5,000 for up to 16 winners.
Note: The Smart City, Smart Future initiative will offer award recipients a path to attract additional project investment, solely at the discretion of the Company, in an effort to bring the most innovative and creative concepts to fruition.
Foxconn retains the right to adjust the awards based on program participation without prior notice.
